A photo of Darshan smoking with a cup of coffee reportedly taken inside Parappana Agrahara Central Prison sparked public outcry and controversy when shared on social media recently. Additionally, a video of the actor participating in a video call with a fan has surfaced, prompting concerns about the prison's security measures. These events follow Darshan's unsuccessful request for home-cooked meals, which was rejected by the court. An investigation is reportedly underway, leading to the suspension of seven police officials. Furthermore, amid growing criticism, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has directed DGIGP Alok Mohan to transfer Darshan to a different correctional facility.
